The PackworldUSA PW2000 Series Touch Screen heat sealer is a semi-custom machine consisting of custom heat seal tooling, a C-frame press, control module, and a touch screen interface. Typical applications involve contoured seal paths such as sealing lid stock to the perimeter of a thermoformed tray, welding ports into bags such as circular flange ports or boat ports into the edge of a bag, U-shapes to generate a three sided pouch, sealing film to molded components, and many other possibilities. PackworldUSA machines are validatable, clean room ready, and compliant with ISO 11607, 21 CFR Part 11, and RoHS standards.
To ensure the versatility you need, the PW2000 Series presses can be fitted with virtually any heat seal configuration that may be required. Two pressure regulators provide for a safety close at low pressure followed by high sealing pressure when the platen is essentially closed.
Timing can be preset to within 0.1 seconds, and cooling can be controlled by either temperature or time. Actual temperature is displayed on the face-mounted digital display and is repeatable. Auxiliary ports are provided for both Data Output and Anti-tie down dual button activation.

Precision Heat Seal Control
The versatile advanced PIREG® impulse heat seal controller provides digital display of menu driven time/temperature profile with various time sequence possibilities. Time and temperature are keypad programmable with the cooling cycle controlled by either time or temperature. Actual temperature is displayed in real time and repeatable. Machine can be fitted with TOSS Alloy–20®-C heatseal bands or wires depending upon the results desired.

CUSTOM TOOLING / HEAT SEAL PLATEN
The custom tooling also known as a heat seal platen is what holds the impulse seal band to create the needed seal path. The platen may incorporate nesting features if needed to seal flexible film to a thermoformed tray or molded component, locating features for repeatable product and seal placement, or other features that add to productivity and operator convenience.
C-FRAME PRESS
A press is needed to hold the heat seal platen, actuate it to closed and open positions, and apply sealing force for the heat seal cycle. The C-frame design provides many access points to the platen and can also be configured with quick removable guarding with interlocks for safety and convenience.
CONTROL MODULE
The control module contains all the machine’s logic and controls. Among these controls is TOSS PIREG heat seal technology for the most advanced form of impulse heat seal controls. TOSS Technology works by utilizing Ohm’s law to monitor resistance of the heat seal elements to quickly and accurately drive them to set heat seal temperatures as programed.
TOUCH SCREEN INTERFACE
The Human-Machine Interface (HMI) is a user interface connecting the person to the machine. It displays real time data and accepts input from the user. The touch screen is pressure sensitive for compatibility with gloved operators.
